Synopsis
It all starts with four women at a lingerie sale with nothing in common but a black lace bra AND memory loss, brain skips, hot flashes, night sweats, chocolate binges, not enough sex, too much sex and more! This joyful musical parody set to 28 classic babyboomer songs from "I Heard it Through the Grapevine, You'll No Longer See 39" to that disco favorite "Stayin' Awake, Stayin' Awake" will have you cheering at your seat and dancing in the aisle! It's definitely not The Silent Passage anymore!
Author’s Notes – Jeanie Linders
Menopause The Musical® is a unique celebration of women who are on the brink of, in the middle of, or have survived The Change. It has grown into a grassroots movement that deals with life after age 40 with all of the challenges that result in the mental, physical, and spiritual freedom of more than 38 million baby-boomer females. The show’s intended message is that menopause is a passage, but it should no longer be The Silent Passage. It is a stage in every woman’s life that is perfectly normal and, as you will see, at times is quite laughable!
We also hope you enjoy our me* Magazine (*My Entertainment, *My Empowerment). me* Magazine targets women age 40 and over and is designed to help you navigate everything from health and financial issues to fitness and fashion to food and the arts.
Please visit our Web site, www.menopausethemusical.com, where you can get more information on the magazine and purchase fun show merchandise, and learn more about our internationally active Foundation. The Foundation offers support to women in the areas of business development, arts and culture, personal growth, health issues, and education.
Since our first show in a tiny 76-seat theatre in Orlando, March 2001, Menopause The Musical® has been seen by nearly ten million women in over 150 cities in twelve countries. It includes fun parodies of 25 songs from the ‘60s, ‘70s, and ‘80s and culminates with a high-spirited invitation for audience members to celebrate on stage. And I hope you do!
All of us at TOC Productions, Inc. hope you enjoy the show. Celebrate!
