What: Special Dedication of a Tree of Gold in honor of Florida Senator Lisa Carlton

Where: The steps of the FSU Center for the Performing Arts/Asolo Theatre Festival at 5555 North Tamiami Trail in Sarasota, FL
Why: At a luncheon held two years ago honoring Lisa Carlton, the GoldenCity Woman's Club made a commitment to plant a Tree of Gold in her honor wherever she chose. She chose a location in front of the FSUCenter for the Performing Arts the building in which the Asolo Theatre Festival performs.
A site was designated and the tree planted. The dedication of the Tree of Gold in honor of Lisa Carlton will take place on the steps of the FSUCenter for the Performing Arts.
The program will consist of the President of the GoldenCity Woman's Club making the opening remarks and a representative from Ringling/FSU will accept the tree along with a representative from the Asolo, after which Senator Lisa Carlton will speak. A reception will take place in the lobby after the ceremony for the participants.
