LOCAL MUSICIAN AUDITIONS FOR
A TALE OF TWO CITIES

SARASOTA, FL (July 10, 2007) – (THE DATE HAS CHANGED - SEE BELOW INFORMATION UPDATE). Asolo Repertory Theatre is seeking musicians for its resident production of A TALE OF TWO CITIES, world premiere of a pre-Broadway event. This audition call is for musicians with classical and orchestral backgrounds; strong technical proficiency is a must.
 
The following positions are available:
VIOLIN/ Concertmaster
WOODWIND DOUBLER (flute, oboe, clarinet, bassoon)
FRENCH HORN
TRUMPET (Bb, piccolo)
UPRIGHT BASS (possible Tuba double)
PERCUSSION (proficient with KAT and Mallet KAT)
KEYBOARD
 
Auditions will take place by appointment only on Monday, AUGUST 6, 2007. Call the Asolo Rep Audition Hotline at 941.351.9010 ext. 3302 to set an appointment. The Hotline will accept calls through August 6. 
 
All performers should be available for work beginning on October 1, 2007 through the closing performance on November 18, 2007. The first preview is on October 13 and press opening is on October 26.

And now Jill Santoriello's stirring adaptation has begun its journey to Broadway. This musical event recounts one of the most electrifying love stories ever written, told against a backdrop of one of the most terrifying eras in history. Let the revolution begin!
