Publix Super MarketS Charities increases its support
for Asolo Rep’s Access to the Arts

Sarasota, Florida (April 13, 2007) – Asolo Repertory Theatre is pleased to announce that Publix Super Markets Charities has renewed its partnership with Asolo Rep, increasing its support of Asolo Rep’s Access to the Arts program for the 2006-2007 season.

It is the goal of Publix to improve life in communities where they have supermarkets. Access to the Arts is an Arts Education Program designed to bring the world of live, professional theatre into the lives, hearts, and minds of thousands students in Sarasota and Manatee counties and throughout West Florida. Via an integrated program, Asolo Rep’s Access to the Arts teaches the teachers as well as their students, supplements learning in all academic disciplines, and cultivates a personally meaningful and educationally rich appreciation for the arts. The more than 5,000 students participating in the program each year are entertained, engaged and inspired by such great classics as A Midsummer Night’s Dream, To Kill a Mockingbird, Peter Pan, Amadeus and Pride and Prejudice.

Asolo Rep thanks Publix Super Markets Charities for their dedicated support of Access to the Arts and looks forward to a long-standing partnership as the program continues to grow and provide valuable educational opportunities to area students.

More information and a complete calendar of Access to the Arts events are available on Asolo Rep’s website, www.asolo.org.
