SECOND ANNUAL STUDENT FILM FESTIVAL
Saturday, Sept. 30 @ 8pm in the Cook Theatre
Sponsored by the Asolo Late Night Series and FloridaStateUniversity. Conservatory Students star and co-star in award-wining films written and directed by graduate students from FSU's FilmSchool in Tallahassee.
Frank Paterson, the dean of the film school, and some of the director's and actors will be present at this very special screening.
The annual festival is a unique and creative collaboration between FSU’s writers and filmmakers and the FSU/Asolo Conservatory actors and faculty as they present the Sarasota premiere of their original short plays and films. This event was conceived as a way to create synergy between all of FSU’s programs, and give audiences in both Sarasota and Tallahassee a chance to meet this outstanding next generation of actors, playwrights, filmmakers and screenwriters.
Greg Leaming explains, "FloridaStateUniversity is developing a huge crop of young artists. While our young actors are training here, the next generation of playwrights, directors and screenwriters are developing in Tallahassee.
