Sarasota, FL (September 07, 2007) - Tickets are on sale now for A TALE OF TWO CITIES, the World Premiere, Pre-Broadway Musical Event of the Season! Jill Santoriello has written the Book, Music and Lyrics for this epic musical based on the novel by Charles Dickens. Audiences are urged to purchase tickets early, as they are expected to sell out quickly. The musical runs from October 13 to November 18, 2007, and is presented by the prestigious Asolo Repertory Theatre on its mainstage, The Harold E. and Esther M. Mertz Theatre, located at 5555 North Tamiami Trail in Sarasota, Florida.

Charles Dickens' seminal work of genius has sold over 200,000,000 copies. And now Jill Santoriello's stirring adaptation has begun its journey to Broadway. This musical event recounts one of the most electrifying love stories ever written, told against a backdrop of one of the most terrifying eras in history. Let the revolution begin.
 
A TALE OF TWO CITIES is directed by Michael Donald Edwards, choreographed by Warren Carlyle and designed by Tony Walton (scenery), David Zinn (costumes), Richard Pilbrow (lights), Carl Casella and Domonic Sack (sound). Supervising musical direction is by Wendy Bobbitt Cavett, with musical direction by Jerry Steichen, and orchestrations by Edward B. Kessel and Bob Krogstad.
 
The musical's creative team has collectively garnered: 4 Tony Awards, 17 Tony Award – Nominations, 1 Oscar Award, 1 Emmy Award, 4 Drama Desk Awards, 13 Drama Desk – Nominations, 2 Drama Logue Awards, 1 Obie Award, and 1 Grammy Nomination.
